27 Shia worshippers have been killed in a deadly suicide attack at Baqir-ul-uloom mosque in the Afghan Capital Kabul. The worshippers had gathered to end the 40 day mourning period in commemoration of brutal assassination of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed.
The suicide bomber detonated the suicide vest inside the mosque, killing 27 people and severely injuring 35. The death toll is expected to rise as several injured are in critical state.
Taliban has denied responsibility for the attack.
