A suicide bomber attacked the court premises in Mardan town of Pakistan, killing 14 people and wounding at least 58 people. Jamaat-ur-Ahrar, an affiliate of Taliban in Pakistan has claimed responsibility for this attack. As per the local sources, two policemen and four lawyers have been killed in this suicide bombing. The suicide bomber first attacked the security personnel with hand grenades and then blew himself up within the premises of the court.

On August 8th, Tehreek-e-Taliban a suicide attack at a hospital in Quetta, where mourning lawyers had gathered, killing at least 70 people and wounding over 100.
