Terrorists in Quetta, Pakistan have targeted a hospital in a suicide attack killing 70 and injuring over 100 people. Several of the injured are in critical state. The hospital was crowded with the mourners, who had gathered after Bilal Anwar Kasi, the former president of the Balochistan Bar Association was shot dead earlier in the day. Local news sources have speculated that, overall attack might have been planned by the same terrorist organisation, who had earlier killed Bilal Anwar Kasi. Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) affiliated group called Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) has claimed responsibility for this barbaric attack.

Majority of those who are dead are lawyers and journalists. Two journalists have been confirmed to be killed in the attack.

Pakistan is at the verge of running into a civil war due to the problems created by it’s own government and military. Time and again, when things go out of control, Pakistan’s government officials shifts the blame on the neighbouring India. The people of Pakistan are constantly brainwashed to believe that India is responsible for all turmoil in the country, including the terrorist attacks.  For example, immediately after the suicide attack happened today, the Chief Minister of Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri told the local news channel Geo News that Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), the Indian intelligence agency is behind the attack. The Pakistan’s local newspaper Dawn quoted “The CM shared this statement [about RAW’s involvement] with the media before initial investigations into the blast were completed, and before the nature of the blast was confirmed”.
